(2001) -- "Three months in the making, as close to a funk record as drenching has got and, all things considered, not particularly close. Marco Maurizi, noted Roman Adornite, commented "You went over and over with those ugly chords! I couldn't believe it!". Goaded into a fit of trance-like overdubbery by Tony Gage's "Bollocks To The Lot Of Them", Drenching combines free improvisation and beat-based backing tracks in layers, even finding courage to throw down some recycled ultramags rhymes, ill advised. "Combined and uneven", embers of a latin-funk burn-out, this recording gives fusion a bad name, extending the plank to indefensible proportion and stacking novelties like scatter-cushions on the rug of your desire."
